Hello, I was googling for a poem with the phrase “pause and ponder” when I came to your website. Actually an old friend of mine, told me about a poem with rhyme scheme “stop and stare…. pause and ponder”. He seemed to think that this is Wordsworth poem. Later on googling, I found it to be “Leisure” written by W.H.Davies. It begins with famous lines, “What is this life, if full of care … one has no time to, stop and stare.” I was still wondering if there is another poem with both the phrases “pause and ponder” and “stop and stare”. So I landed on your website. I liked it. You have written a bit about your father and that your family comes from UP.
